Legal Requirements
Zoëtry Marigot Bay St. Lucia
All couples planning to be married in Saint Lucia are recommended to arrive on the island at least three business days prior to their wedding date; otherwise, there will be additional fees for an express wedding license. All couples are required to sign documents that must be processed prior to the wedding date.
Please notify the wedding specialist when you will be arriving to ensure that all documents are submitted and processed in a timely fashion. All legal processing can be handled through your wedding specialist and should be scanned and emailed one month prior to your arrival to start the legal process.
NECESSARY DOCUMENTATION
Please note only Originals or Certified Documents will be accepted. All documents in a foreign language require authorized English Translation.
- Passports (valid for a minimum of six months)
- Birth Certificate
- Two Witnesses (stand-ins can be arranged)
- Deed Poll Certificate (if your name has been changed)
- Parental Consent by way of an Affidavit if below 18
- Death Certificate and Previous Marriage Certificate (if you have been Widowed)
- Decree Absolute (if you’re divorced)
Important notes:
- Weddings are celebrated on holidays.
- Names on all legal documents must perfectly match (birth certificates).
